Tabiat baru ...

Kebiasaanya, aku didalam mengharungi bulan Ramadan pada tahun-tahun yang sebelum ini boleh dikatakan kurang mendapat mafaat. Al-Maklumlah, solat sunat terawikh kadang-kadang ada yang tertinggal.

Nabi ada bersabda bahawasanya ramai orang berpuasa dibulan Ramadan tapi malangnya hanya memperolehi lapar dan dahaga sahaja.

Maka untuk bulan puasa tahun ini, aku dan isteri punya keazaman yang berbeza berbanding dengan tahun-tahun kami sebelum ini.

Hari ini sudah masuk hari ketiga umat islam berpuasa. Tahun ini cuaca agak mencabar kerana cuacanya agak panas berbanding biasa. Aku setiap kali berulang-alik dari rumah ke tempat kerja menggunakan motosikal, terasa akan bahang luar biasa yang menguji kesabaran dibulan yang mulia ini.

Tetapi, hari ini, di Kuala Lumpur, kepanasannya agak reda sedikit kerana dilimpahi dengan kehadiran hujan.

Tahun ini, demi mencari barakah dibulan mulia ini, aku dan isteri pasang sedikit strategi. Tahun ini kami berazam untuk hanya berbuka di Masjid. Kebetulan isteri saya tidak pernah merasai suasana berbuka di masjid, pada hari yang pertama pengalaman beliau menjalani liku-liku berbuka di masjid, hati terus sudah terpaut.

Jadi kami mengharapkan dorongan untuk mencari barakah dibulan yang mulia ini berkekalan sehingga ke penghabisan bulan Ramadan.

Sudah dua malam kebelakangan ini,kami di Masjid Baitul Muhabbah (Masjid Proton) dan alhamdulillah semangat itu masih lagi berterusan.

Kebaikan berbuka dimasjid ini banyak. Selain kurniaan pahala yang melimpah ruah, ia dapat menjimatkan wang kerana makanan waktu berbuka ditaja oleh dermawan di kariah kawasan sekeliling masjid . Makanan biasanya akan berlebihan dimana kami boleh simpan untuk waktu sauh nanti.

Dimasjid biasanya kita tak makan banyak sebab nanti orang kata kita buruk lantak. Jadi dapat lah kita jaga bentuk tubuh badan yang langsing sedikit.

Di masjid kita tidak dilalaikan dengan program-program yang menarik di TV. Maka nak menunaikan solat terawikh itu takde lah liat sangat. Biasanya sambil menunggu waktu isyak, dapat jugalah kita memenuhi masa membaca Al-Quran atau buku-buku agama. Dengan ini dapatlah kita menambah pahala amalan dibulan ramadan.

Dibulan ini rajin-rajinkan diri bersedekah sebab pada hari biasa, pahala sedekah itu ibarat sebiji benih yang ditanah dimana ia akan menumbuhkan 7 tangkai dan setiap tangkai akan mempunyai 100 biji. Namun dibulan Ramadan, pahala tersebut akan digandakan sebanyak 70 kali ganda.

Kadang-kadang dalam melangsungkan solat terawikh ada diselitkan tazkirah, pahala orang yang menghadiri majlis ilmu dibulan Ramadan adalah setu langkah bersamaan dengan paha setahun ibadah. Subahanallah.... Maha suci Allah.

Aku doakan diriku, isteriku, keluargaku, kedua ibu bapaku dan ibu bapa mertuaku, saudara-mara serta rakan-rakanku dan umat islam umumnya kan mendapat barakah dan pahala yang banyak dibulan yang mulia ini.

Azam Baru

Sesuatu bila sudah lama kita tinggalkan, bila hendak mulakan kembali, pasti amat berat untuk dilakukan.

Sudah hampir setahun aku tidak menulis didalam blog ini. Si Izman pun sudah asyik membebel-bebel pada aku sebab tiada 'post' baru disini sampai ugut-ugut aku nak keluarkan nama blog list dari senarai blog dia. Cit!... orang tua kalau merajuk memang buruk...hahaha (jangan marah bang)

Apa-apa pun aku punya alasan tersendiri kerana menyepi didalam dunia internet untuk hampir setahun ini. Selain daripada alasan kesibukan, alasannya ialah kerana hendak menjaga hati isteri tercinta.

Usia perkahwinan aku masih berusia 2 tahun maka proses membina keserasian dan persefahaman itu membuatkan kita perlu berfikir dan berhati-hati didalam membuat sesuatu. Walaupun kegagalan dahulu dijadikan pedoman, namun begitu kadang-kadang tabiat ini suatu perkara yang sukar untuk dilenturkan tanpa kehadiran semangat yang dinamakan keazaman.

Hari ini, merupakan hari kedua umat islam di Malaysia berpuasa. Sempena bulan yang mulia ini aku berazam untuk lebih kerap untuk berkarya di dalam laman ini sama ada secara penulisan atau visual.

Azam tahun baru biasanya dimulakan pada awal tahun baru atau bagi kelender islam pada 1 muharam. Namun bagi aku, keazaman suatu benda yang boleh dilakukkan pada bila-bila masa sahaja terutama sekali jika keazaman itu suatu yang membawa kebaikan. Lebih-lebih lagi pada bulan yang mulia lagi barakah ini, aku amat mengharapkan keazaman ini berkekalan dengan lamanya.

It has been a while...

It has been a while since i wrote anything in here. Life had became so hectic for the past few month.

Today is a laidback day for me... Just enjoying time of doing nothing. My actually plan today was to go to Kuala Lumpur for some photoshooting. I have two photo competition which i wish to enter but after I woke up this morning, after the 'sahur' & Subuh prayers, i just don't have the mood to do anything today.

Just to states what kind of activities that i've engaged for the past few months, here are the list :-

1. Celebrate my birthday with my twin sister

We've reached this stage so far, may Allah bless us in our remaining days with happiness, wealth and excellent health.

I was representing as a floor marshall for 12th floor. I was the best experiences we had at the training center. It made us appreciate more the work and sacrifices that being put by our fireman.

Every time I made the trip back to Singapore, I would simple use a different route. Driving in the North - South highway could be stressful sometimes especially when the journey is long and there are nothing to see.

So when there are no hurry, I prefer to use the 'inside' road, the road less travelled just to get the plesure of enjoying the scenery.

The picture was taken during our trip in Terengganu. My son always like to make faces every time I pointed my camera to him ...

He's surely has a wide gum.

Laid back day

My wife and I, seldom had the pleasure of spending our weekend at our home. Last week, we had to attend to some open houses, school carnival and etc. This weekend, the original plan was to drive-up to Singapore. However, since the H1N1 fever doesn't seems to show any sign of coolling down, so we decided to postponed our trip.

Yesterday, our day was fill of doing nothing until 5 pm, when my wife got a call from her boss to do some work. Unfortunately, she left the work inside her laptop which was in the office.

So we drove up to her office in Kuala Lumpur.

At the office while, waiting for her completing her work , I take the opportunity to snap some scenery pictures from her office window.

While snapping my camera , my wife told me about the incident occurs at outside her window on Monday.

There was some foreigners couple, who were living at the apartment behind her office, had a quarrel at the balcony. During the heated argument, the women had pushed the man and made him fall-out over the balcony. He landed right on the drive way and died.

Since then, her colleague always pay her a visit to her room to peek at the 'dropping ground'.
Every time they came, they will make her remembered of the incident which gave some freaky feeling on her.

Wonder pets Fever

Ever since Nabil (the Raja Lawak comedian) uses the tag line "Apa yang penting ? Kerjasama ..."

(Mean what's important ? Teamwork!)

My colleagues at the office have tried to find out more about this Wonder Pets. They never get to see the show since it is only shown at our Tv channel 9 and they normally watch the Astro channel. Furthermore, it is always shown during working days except for Sunday.

Their eagerness was fueled up further after knowing that their children also favor the show and are able to sing to its songs.

I stumbled upon the show late last year when my wife and my sons were singing its song on our way to Kota Bharu. "Talifon, Talifon berbunyi ...
Apa yang penting ? Kerjasama ". (mean : Telephone, Telephone is ringging... What's important ? Teamwork )

I watched the show after that and found it very interesting. The story line was simple but what was great about the show was its songs. The story was in Malay, the song was out of tune but i find it very amusing.

Of all the cartoons that are now showing on TV, I find that this show is much more suitable for our children to see. Nowadays, there is too much violent, sex, bad words used etc. Examples are cartoons such as animea cartoons, One piece, Blue Dragon, etc.

I'm not saying that i didn't enjoy watching these cartoons but because I'm an adult, we have the ability to differentiate what's right and what's wrong. However, for a kid aged 10 years and below, it is possible that they might take the show as real and idolise them. What's worst they might follow the character as part of their own and their image. Don't you think ?

Well, maybe some would say, that they also grew up with all those things but still turned up to be ok, but have they seen the level of crap shown on cartoons nowadays. It is much more adult than their supposed target market. I think someone should step up and try building more local content such as Upin & Ipin cartoons.

I know the Ministry of Media, Communication and Cultural, under YB Rais is doing something but i hope they could speed things up.

In the meantime, while waiting for the job to be done, I will keep enjoying singing to Wonder Pets songs.

H1N1

Yesterday I had to attend this special meeting regarding the H1N1 virus. Our office wanted to come out with a policy on how to handle cases of staff being suspected or identify to be infected by the virus.

There were some incidences in the banking industries that some organisation had taken bold measures such as bar even their own Board of director, especially if they are originated from the serious effected countries, to enter the building to attend meeting. Instead they were told to attend the meeting at other places. Of cause, the poor guy wasn't so happy.

Anyway, during our meeting, our HR guy explained on some measures that they had taken. There was some issues raise regarding our leaves. What happen to your leaves if you comeback from overseas but got quarantine for suspected infection just for being at the wrong place and a wrong time. Does it consider a medical leaves or you need to minus it from your annual leaves ?

Our HR was concern and they suggested to propose to our CEO to give a person 5 days compassionate leaves if he or she comeback from traveling outside Malaysia. The suggestion of course brings a question mark to me, so I throw a question to our HR chief for more details.

Me : So what happen if a person travelling to a Singapore once a month? It very near right ! Does this mean he get to entitle to 5 days compassionate leaves for each month ?

HR Chief : Of course but anyway who do you know that travel to Singapore every month eh !

Me : Well, you are looking at him. I got a family there. I travel there once a month.It only took 4 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore.

Suddently, there was a silent moment . . . of course he was kinda shock and then everybody in the room was laughing...

Some suggesting that I should be quarantine then..

Anyway ... If the policy, do get to materialise, I will get 5 extra leaves for each month. (How great life could it be ? It would be great but of cause it comes with a condition that you don't get contracted with the virus)
